Why Barton Dental
Individual Case Assessment Before Recommending Treatment
Invisalign treatment at Barton Dental is provided by general dental practitioners who assess each case individually and are direct about when clear aligner therapy is and is not appropriate.
Individual Case Assessment Before Recommending Treatment
Before any Invisalign treatment is recommended at Barton Dental, a clinical assessment is conducted to confirm that the case falls within the scope of clear aligner therapy at the general dental level. If the degree of crowding, bite discrepancy, or skeletal involvement places your case outside that scope, our dentist will tell you directly and discuss whether referral to an orthodontist is the appropriate path. Recommending treatment that is not suited to the clinical situation does not serve your interests — honesty about case scope is a non-negotiable part of how we work.
Digital ClinCheck Plan Reviewed With You Before Commitment
Once your clinical records are taken, a digital treatment plan is generated using Invisalign’s ClinCheck software. This shows the planned movement of your teeth from start to finish in a format you can review before committing to treatment. Our dentist walks through the plan with you — discussing what it shows, what it is aiming to achieve, how long it is estimated to take, and any limitations. Treatment does not begin until you have reviewed the plan, asked your questions, and made an informed decision to proceed.
Honest About Case Scope, Referral When Appropriate — Accepting New Patients
When a case exceeds the scope of what Invisalign can appropriately achieve through general dental practice, our dentist says so — clearly and early. This protects patients from investing in a treatment pathway that will not deliver the result they are hoping for. A referral to an orthodontist, when it is the right recommendation, is not a failure of the process — it is the correct outcome of a thorough assessment. New patients are welcome for Invisalign assessments at Barton Dental — call to book.
